Description
A U.S. technology company needs an engineer who's equally comfortable in the database, the API layer, and the UI when the work demands it. This is a role for someone who'd rather solve the problem than stay in one lane.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build backend services that other teams depend on
- Extend into frontend work when a feature needs full ownership
- Design database schemas and optimize query performance
- Build and document internal and external-facing APIs
- Identify technical debt early and propose realistic fixes
Requirements
- 4+ years spanning both backend and frontend development
- Strong backend fundamentals (Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, or similar)
- Working proficiency in a modern frontend framework
- Experience designing relational or NoSQL data models
- Comfortable moving between layers of the stack in the same week
